Notes & Permissions

Slack Admin Approval

Some Slack workspaces restrict app installations. If you cannot complete installation, a Slack admin may need to approve the Vurbalize Alerts app. Contact your workspace administrator.

Private Channel Access

Slack does not allow apps to automatically access private channels. A private channel only becomes available in Vurbalize after the Vurbalize Alerts app is manually added to that channel inside Slack.

Alert Delivery

Once channels are selected in a workflow, alerts are sent automatically when the workflow triggers. You can select multiple channels simultaneously, and both public and authorized private channels are supported.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. You can select multiple channels in a single Alert node and alerts will be delivered to all of them when the workflow triggers.
Slack requires the Vurbalize Alerts app to be added to the private channel manually. Open the channel in Slack, go to Integrations, add the app, then refresh the Vurbalize workflow page.
Not always. Standard Slack workspaces allow any member to install apps. However, workspaces with enterprise policies or app restrictions may require admin approval.
Yes. The integration uses standard Slack OAuth 2.0. Vurbalize never stores your Slack credentials and only requests the minimum permissions needed to post alerts.
